About the event
In his first solo exhibition, Michael McNamara explores the World Heritage site of Shark Bay and Monkey Mia in Western Australia, revealing beautiful flow patterns, eroded landscapes, and salt plains that can only be seen from the air. Michael is attracted to landscapes in all forms, where there might be a geological or historical story to explore and tell, capturing images in an 'old school' style by hanging out of a light plane rather than using drone technology that is so often relied upon. By employing a fast shutter speed and good image stabilisation, Michael can capture astonishing images of texture and colour that cannot be seen from the ground’s perspective, giving us a new interpretation of the unique landscapes that makes up this region. Peruse fourteen of McNamara's incredible images over a glass or two of fine wine. Original works for sale.
