About the event
Curated by award-winning food writer and author Richard Cornish, The Dirty Dozen delves into the sometimes-dark, often-uplifting stories behind street food, produce markets and the dining habits of the 19th-century elite. The exhibition features newly commissioned ceramic artworks of quintessential street foods made by Kenny Pittock, alongside historical menus, imagery and objects from the City of Melbourne’s Art and Heritage Collection. This event is presented as a part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival program. The City Gallery will be open on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival (21-30 March) from 11am-4pm.
