About the event
The Melbourne Cinémathèque is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run film society dedicated to screening rare and significant films. The Melbourne Cinémathèque aims to present films in the medium they were created and as closely as possible to the way they would have originally screened (i.e. big screen, celluloid prints, not video or DVD). Curated seasons include a diverse selection of classic and contemporary films showcasing director retrospectives and thematic series including archival material featuring new or restored prints. Come along to ACMI on Wednesday nights and catch some inspiring cinema! Please check the Melbourne Cinémathèque and ACMI websites for updates on the latest seasons. Presented in collaboration with ACMI. Supported by VicScreen, the City of Melbourne Arts Grant Program and the Australian Cultural Fund.
